The Cannabis Cured
engineer-designed C1D1 lab.

Cannabis Cured operates a state-licensed, engineer-designed C1D1 in-house extraction and product-development lab at our Fairfield campus, producing every Cannabis Cured concentrate, vape distillate, and edible base. Compliance testing is performed by an independent Maine-licensed laboratory before retail release.

The Cannabis Cured extraction lab is a state-licensed, engineer-designed C1D1 facility regulated by the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP), the cannabis-regulating arm of the Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS). All compliance testing is performed by an independent Maine-licensed laboratory, as Maine law requires.

Engineer-designed C1D1 extraction

Extraction runs in a state-licensed, engineer-designed C1D1 (Class 1, Division 1) room, the hazardous-location electrical rating purpose-built for hydrocarbon extraction. The Cannabis Cured lab produces concentrates from flower and trim cultivated at the Fairfield campus. Output formats include sugar, shatter, crumble, diamonds, live resin, and distillate. Concentrate inputs supply our retail concentrate menu, the Northern Grown Juice Box vapes, and the Sugarloaf Springs edibles + Nectr infused sodas lines.

Maine's Best Genetics R&D lab

Alongside extraction, Cannabis Cured runs an in-house genetics research-and-development lab, Maine's Best Genetics, where cultivars are selected and stabilized for terpene profile, potency, and hardiness before they reach the Fairfield canopy.

Independent testing under Maine OCP

Maine OCP requires all adult-use cannabis to be compliance-tested by an independent licensed testing facility before retail sale. Cannabis Cured follows this requirement; our in-house lab handles extraction and product development, not compliance testing.

Maine OCP regulator

Cannabis is regulated in Maine by the Office of Cannabis Policy within the Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services. OCP publishes rules and statutes governing Maine adult-use and medical cannabis, including lab licensure requirements.
