Your First Visit to a Maine Dispensary

What to bring, what to expect, and how to get the most from a Cannabis Cured budtender.

A first visit to a Cannabis Cured dispensary in Maine requires a government-issued ID showing 21 years of age or older for adult-use purchases, or a valid Maine medical cannabis certification for medical purchases.

Bring ID, cash, and a question

Maine law requires a valid government-issued ID for every adult-use purchase. Our stores accept cash and debit; ATMs are on-site at most locations. The best thing you can bring is a goal: 'I want to sleep better,' 'I want to feel social,' 'I want to stop overdoing it.'

What a good budtender conversation looks like

Tell them your experience level, your goal, your delivery preference (smoke, vape, edible, tincture), and anything you're avoiding. Good budtenders ask more than they talk.

Start low, go slow

If you've never used cannabis before, ask about 2.5mg or 5mg edible doses, single-hit pre-rolls, or a low-THC/balanced cultivar. You can always take more. You cannot take less.
